Lanterne Rouge, now Red Lantern Cycles started as a cycling business in 1999, outside of Washington, DC in Takoma Park, MD.  Matt Barkley continues to help out bike shops, including the Pro Shop in Georgetown and Silver Cycles, and cyclists of all levels with fit, mechanical work and product. Superior quality bike framesets, parts, and advice has always set Red Lantern Cycles apart.  Red Lantern was one of the first Pegoretti dealers and has worked closely with Parlee, Cyfac, Casati, Scapin, Colnago, DeRosa, Pinarello, Edge, and SRM among others. Matt also started the Pro-Shop, Velo Tech Cycles in Palo Alto, California with Tom Jelmyer.

The Red Lantern Racing / Infinet Payroll bike-racing 'squad'  is active in Mid-Atlantic bicycle races and group rides. Keep your eyes peeled for riders: Dan Crocker, Andrew Hong, Tim Hancock, Matt Barkley, and Justin O'Malley sporting Red Lantern Racing kits.
