About the Lantern

Lanterne Rouge is run by Hannes Persson – head chef, founder and the soul and heart of the restaurant. With him on board is a group of fantastic professionals: friends, colleagues and family.

You'll find Hannes in the restaurant pretty much every day. He is behind everything you eat, and it is his hand, taste and stubbornness that make Lanterne Rouge the place it is.

Joel is Hannes's brother and the house sidekick. He shows up now and then, is in the way to varying degrees, carries out a plate and helps when our EMINENT sommelier Dylan needs an extra hand.

Whatever ends up on the plate is there for a reason. Taste, meaning, season and experience lead the way.

You'll find us at Kastellgatan 15 in Gothenburg, open Wednesday to Saturday 17:00–23:00.
